120 volt plug in voltage meter
Does anybody use one of the small 120 volt meter that plugs into one of the outlets?
I see them for around $20 on Amazon. I was reading a campground review and the poster mentioned that the campground voltage was very low, 106 volts, so he disconnected and used his generator instead. He was concerned about damaging the air conditioner. This never crossed my mind. I have a 2020 26XD Redhawk and a volt meter is not part of the factory supplied devices.

Good to have one. There are some old systems that are lower voltage than 120. Use to work on electric forklift chargers and some of the old plants had around 108 vac. What was wild if an addition had been added to the plant the new addition would supplied by a new transformer would be 120 vac.

I have one for my 12v outlet to track battery strength but I depend on my Progressive EMS for AC output. I check voltage, ground, etc as soon as I plug it into the pedestal. Wouldn’t leave home without it.

I have one and use it to check AC voltage both when I plug in and sometimes while running air conditioner just to make sure I am not browning out.

One note: If you have 50a service you will need to put one on an outlet fed by both sides of the power buss.
Buy 2 or just invest in an ems for even more protection.

If you have a 50amp rig, most likely all your 110 outlets are on the same leg coming from the campground pedestal. So will only be checking 1 side. If 2 AC's, each will run off a different leg. I have a Progressive Industries EMS that I plug in before my trailer cord. It test the pedestal for correct wiring and voltage. Never plug my cord in until tested.

Not wired that way in my rig. I have outlets on each side of the buss.

I use both, a 120 volt plugged into a wall socket, and a 12 vac indicator wired into a cabinet light. They are next to each other in the kitchen for quick reference. That in addition to my Progressive EMS.

Another vote here for a quality EMS. I am a fan of the Progressive Industries unit and have one hard wired in my rig. I have the remote display mounted in the wall where I can see at a glance what's going on. Love the auto disconnect feature for high or low voltage...

I also have a progressive EMS, shows my voltage and shuts my system down when voltage drops below 106v so nothing gets damaged.
