The article, from a quick look, is mostly centered around RVing permanently post-retirement and the downfalls that certain people had - don't like the interior, they were a way a lot, so friends started to leave them out of things, and then the spattering of usual RVing issues - gas guzzling, fuel is expensive, overnight parking issues, costly repairs. Nothing earthshattering, just someone consolidating the various potential pitfalls of RVing with mentioning any of the benefits...

We read that article also when considering this "full-time life" on the road bit...
but decided to jump in and do it mainly because we are not getting any younger and recent life events proved that - so we wanted to see the US.... sold the house, paid off everything, and started driving...been almost 8 months and we love it. Yes, there have been some problems to fix, and challenge on getting repair items or things while on the road...but all the places we haver been able to visit and see...it has been worth it... and next year is planned already...after we spend the winter in south Texas...
