The heated underbelly is marginal, but it helps. The heat is supplied only when the heating furnace is operating. There aren't actually any dedicated ducts that heat the underbelly, but there are holes in the ducts that run to the various outlets in your floor.
If you are using the camper in temperatures that are in 20's at night and above freezing during the day, you should be OK. Wind plays a role! The tanks are generally the least of your worries...it's the individual plumbing lines that run across the underbelly, especially near the water source. Your supply hose from the city water connection is the most vulnerable.
It really comes down to how cold it is and how long you are exposed.
I can't say I've had any experience with the G.S. extended warranty. I have only feedback from others, and it's not all that positive. If you have a new unit with a two or three year warranty you shouldn't need an extended warranty. Roadside Assistance might be more in line if you get a flat or have tow vehicle issue, but again: my Roadside Assistance was a disappointment.
Welcome to Jayco and enjoy your new toy!
