2013 Jayco Trailer Lines

From another forum and a reputable source:

Anyone ordering an Jayco Eagle today will be getting a 2013 model .... the new year is scheduled to usher in some pretty significant changes in the various Eagle lines ....

the current lines Eagle SL (Super Lite) TT's and 5ers will be known as Eagles

the current line of Eagle TT's will be discontinued .... in connection with this the 320RLDS, 324BHDS, 322FKS, and 330RLTS will be deleted

the current line of Eagle SL HT (half ton) 5ers will be known as the Eagle HT line

the current line of Eagle 5ers will be known as Eagle Premier 5ers

That is significant changes, so I guess in 2013 I will have an Eagle!

Problem I see is the king size bed option is now going to be gone. Sad as a friend is now looking for a great used 322FKS just for the bed size.

Bummer, I really liked the current Eagle line and was anticipating getting another in a few years when it came time to replace mine. They must have not sold many as opposed to the SL models.

So the Eagle TT line will only be offered in Superlites and the regular Eagle line discontinued?

It's a shame to see the Eagle TT line being discontinued. Darn good line with great floor plans and lots of bang for the buck IMHO. I suppose with people using smaller TV's Jayco wants to put more concentration in the TT's that weight less. Wonder if Jayco will have new exterior graphics for the 5er Premier line.

The king BR slide was a main reason we went with the 351 over the 321 fifth wheel.

We will only consider 5th wheels with a king bed option.

RV USA has pictures of the changes to the 2013 eagle on line. I like the enclosed propane tanks with front LED lights for hitching cool look.

I like the tanks and front LED lights too. I also like the paneling on the front wall of the master bedroom. But the wall paper border could use a change to bring the unit up to a fresher look.

Well, I guess I'll be saying goodbye to you all. I had to postpone buying a TT because of health issues that cropped up (frozen shoulders and hips, and knee and back problems; I have auto-immune system issues including Hashimodo's thyroiditis and the skeletal issues are believed to be related) that have been taking their sweet time healing. I was pretty upset when Jayco reduced the quality of the Eagle line in 2012 and I was hoping they would reverse that in 2013. Since, by making the lights and the superlights the Eagle line, essentially reducing the quality of the Eagle line yet again, and are dropping the trailer I was interested in (330RLTS), Jayco has lost me and there is no point in my being here anymore.

Bye!

Sorry to hear about the line change. I am also glad that I already have my 2012 Eagle330RLDS. This is a great RV. I sure all you Eagle owners would agree, that it is a mistake to change.

Well that is not a good enough reason to withdraw your input from this forum. You have to stay anyhow!

The only danger I see in this, is that our particular model was "lightened up" this year ( which was good for us or we would not have even considered it with our particular tow v) but what I did notice was that to lighten it, some nice features were changed such as replacing a medicine cabinet with just a mirror. This makes me fear sometimes that "lightening" means "less" for the same amount of money. Having said that it is nice to have the option of being able to consider more floor plans for smaller tv's.

Just my luck. Our 2012 365 BHS is due offline at the end of this month and now the 2013's are already. I want an Eagle Premier. (Sad face.)
