2016 Jay Flight 27BHS

Wondering if anyone has any specs on this trailer, available upgrade options etc. Looking at Jayco site there are no weights/measures available as well the options appear to be incomplete.

Hoping for some input & opinions as I can't find any dealers that show this model available.

I currently have a 23MBH on order but am considering changing my order to this model for additional storage and better bunk system. Not a big fan of outdoor kitchen so I would consider removing that for extra storage.

Thank you

The floorplan looks very similar to the 26BHS it seems to be replacing. It must be so new they have not yet posted the specs but should soon

Thanks Crabman. Hopefully they will provide specifics while I still have a window to change my order. If they make the Elite Pckg as an available upgrade option along with the AC upgrade, this would tick all the boxes for me!

Have a call into my dealer to see if they can get more details

As far as I know all the Jayflight floorplans have the 15K AC and Elite Pkg as optional offerings.

I called Jayco and spoke to a gentlemen regarding the 27BHS. He said there is no prototype built yet which is why the web site has no information. It's expected to be built mid to late October and will come with the outside kitchen standard and be a bit longer than the 26BHS. (most likely the Jayco site will have updated information shortly after that)

Puts me in a tough situation as he informed my 23MBH should roll off production line Oct 7th estimating delivery 3rd week of October, right at the same time the prototype is due to complete of the other model.

Guess I need to decide whether to go with what I have on order or cancel and wait til I can order the new model. Bigger issue is whether the dealer will work with me on the non-refundable deposit I would like to apply to the other model.

i own a 2015 26BHS. it appears that the only differences are:

26BHS has a "short queen" bed, 27 BHS has a regular queen
26BHS has 2 entries into the bedroom area, 27 BHS has one
27 BHS has an outdoor kitchen

we love our 26 BHS. got it with the Elite package, Thermal package and 15K A/C unit. pulled it 4000 miles from Texas to Montana and back without an issue.

the only issue i have with Jayco is that they put "C" load range tires on it, when it really needs "D" range tires

I'd prefer a 2016 26BHS, unfortunately only dealer stock is left and no longer being made per the Jayco rep I talked to today. I did find a dealer in Montana that has 2 of the exact unit I want and another 4 on the lot with non Elite package. I'd lose my down payment not to mention another $6K before taxes then what I just ordered if I opted for this route. Also cost involved in picking it up 1100 miles away.

Will be talking to my dealer tomorrow to see if there's anything they can do to help me as I know car dealerships can buy/transfer from others, not sure the same in the RV business.

Just notcied they have specs posted on the site now for the 27 BHS.

What did your dealer have to say, and what did you decide?

I'm sticking with my original order of 23MBH. Maybe after a few years I would consider another unit, but for now since I've already seen it in person and it's been on order for sometime, think I'll leave well enough alone.

Also great is I spoke with one of their Engineers who will be sending me complete drawings of the unit I'm purchasing as there is options for extra storage. Very nice people for sure

Would you mind forwarding me the drawings when you get them? I've asked Jayco and my dealer to no avail.

I'd be happy to. They advised it won't be immediately but I have faith they will keep their word.

Finally got the call my trailer has been located. The transport company had it for 3 weeks, when it arrived to the dealer they haven't been able to find it on the lot the last 4 days and were going to report it stolen . Anyway, got a call yesterday it's been located - now I await my call to schedule walk thru.

Picking up the trailer Monday, I hope they did a thorough job in the PDI to save me grief on issues that would be detrimental for boondocking.

Update, my appointment got rescheduled and yesterday I went for my walk through/pick up. Minor issues were addressed while I was there, however when I hooked up to my truck and attempted to pull from the prep bay I realized the trailer had no brakes. (not to mention they installed the wrong WDH @ 14Klb Equalizer, should have been 12Klb Equalizer) The person doing my walk thru immediately blamed the brake issue on my "new truck". I quickly let them know I towed my toy hauler w/out issue for the previous 3 1/2 years no issue. The tech determined the 7pin plug/wiring on the trailer is at fault, so I had to leave the trailer (it was sooooo close) Will try again Saturday and see if they resolved the issue.

Makes me curious how the person who transported my unit 3K miles did so w/out trailer brakes.

You're going to love this layout. Lotta people may not realize how gigantic the awning is. Even covers the outside kitchen. Nice open clean layout, plus full size queen!
