2016 Jayco product line

Does anyone know when Jayco begins building the 2016 product line? Seems to me they begin in late spring, does anyone have an opinion?

June or July I believe is when they start building the new model for the next year.

We had planned to order a new 2014 Jay Series after the new year, but when we went to the local Jayco dealer, we were told that we might not be able to order a 2014 because the 2015s were going to begin construction. The salesperson said that Jayco has decided to change construction practices to help make their product pricing more in line with other brands, he also said some of those changes might effect quality. Not sure if the salesperson was telling the truth or if he simply wanted to put us into the stock unit.

Sounds like he was putting a little pressure on you. We ordered a 2015 in August from our dealer and he said no such thing. He was just trying to get rid of his stock. Our 24FBS in the 2014 model was only a few hundred dollars for the 2015. They had a 2014 on the lot but not with the options we wanted. Go look at another dealer if you are able too

They actually usually start the new model year production some time in the Spring, but the website does not update until August.

I checked the current inventories of plenty of Jayco dealers with the end result being there were very few new Jay Series popups on their lots. We purchased our PUP and we are fine with our purchase, now I am curious to find out if Jayco is in fact changing the features of their 2015 popups.

My thanks to all who participated in this thread.

Our 2015 Jay Flight was built in April, 2014. We bought it in August 2014 and of the 100 or so units in stock at their various dealerships, only 1 was a 2014 leftover.

Our 2014 was built in April 2013. It appears they change production years right after the first quarter. Seems a little early but that is what they do.

Yup...just like cars.

We ordered our rig in December of '12 and picked it up in March as a 2012.

Glad it was too cuz we did not like some of the changes made to the 2013's.

We plan to do the Jayco factory tour in April, perhaps someone from the plant will give me the definitive answer. Bottomline, we are relieved to own our new PUP, we are glad not to have to be concerned about settling for a lesser quality unit if the salesperson's opinion was the truth.

My wife and I have been thinking about joining the Jayco family and getting a Jay Feather X23F. (We've previously had a Rockwood and a North Trail.)

Has anyone heard what might be new/improved/changed in the 2016s over the 2015s?

2016 Product Line

Our 2014 Pinnacle was ordered in April 2013 and delivered July 28, 2013. We just ordered a 2016 Pinnacle and it is estimated to be in around end of July. Preliminary info from Jayco Mktg. is out.

We just ordered a Jay Feather last week. It will be a 2016. Jayco said they are done with all 2015 production and everything ordered from here will be a 2016.

Looks like our 2015 34RSBS will be at the end of the 2015 production line. We ordered in January and have been told April 9th or mid-April to roll off the production line. Hoping to see it soon.

I spoke to someone at the Jayco factory a few months ago. She indicated that by May they would be starting the 2016 models.

According to Jayco....

I called Jayco yesterday to ask the same question. I was told that the 2016 Pinnacle will begin production May 1. The Premier will become North Point and will be produced April 9 and April 15 (not sure why the two dates). Designer is coming back with two floor plans (37RS and 39SL) and will begin production May 26.

My experience with the salesperson yesterday is best described in a different thread.

Hello,

I ordered the super lite octane 273 toy hauler on March 13, I got a call from my dealer that I will get one of the first 2016 in the country, but there are a few changes. He sent a decor change that they have, I don't like the new color countertops, or I would at least like to see a picture of the whole thing together that he says Jayco will not have pictures for a month or so and by that time it is to late to change. How can a person decide if they like it without a picture of the whole scene together? I would think Jayco has something to show....

From Amanda Logan at All Seasons RV in Muskegon, MI, I just got a photo of one of the 2016 White Hawks. She wasn't sure which model it is, but said it gives a good idea about the new graphics. (I mention her name and where she works 'cause we're in Arizona, so we won't be her customers, but she was still really helpful in getting the pic.)

Well, based from the pic, I like the looks of the 2016 white hawks. We ordered a 2015 and told it was coming off the line April 22nd, haven't heard anything from the dealer yet. They said they would call when it arrived. I'm not sure if it would be a 2016 though.
