2017 Elite Package

I ordered a Jayflight 28RLS a week ago. After ordering the dealer told me it would be a 2017 instead of a 2016, but at 2016 prices. Wow, great deal!

But I later found out that the Elite package for 2017 is not the same as 2016. When I ordered I thought that I was getting a roof ladder, remote control for the slide and awning and a kitchen skylight, in addition to the rest of the Elite package. Now I have to pay extra to get those options. Is this common?

Unfortunately they make changes all the time, some are mid year and some are with the new model year and sometimes even discontinuing floorplans....

I haven't been down the path you are on, but if your original agreement included those items I'd push the dealer to deliver the coach and features included in the original agreement at the agreed price. Yeah you're getting the newer model but you have to pay more. Almost sounds like an "up-sell" to me. You could test cancelling the order since he can't deliver what you bought at the price you agreed on. If your original deal was "killer" maybe the up-sell still gives you a good $$$.
Good luck and let us know how this turns out.

We just did the same thing...ordered what we thought was a 2016 w/ Elite but instead we are getting a 2017 and like you said, much of the Elite package items are included. Our dealer is ordering it with the extras we agreed upon...skylight, remote control but we are not getting the Mor/Ryde suspension as it is not offered. We are pleased with the deal as we are getting a 1 year "newer" camper that in the future will be worth a little more than a '16.

MorRyde not offered? If they in fact discontinued that, shame on them. Have you confirmed that with jayco yourself? Dexter and MORryde is one of the things they had going for them.

I did confirm that with Jayco. They said it was wearing tires out unevenly.

Boy howdy. I'd have to disagree since I've been running MorRyde suspension stuff for years with no wear problems. Some rigs with 20k plus miles a year. MorRyde would prove them wrong from an engineering stand point. Oh well. A strike against Jayco for me. May end up with sob next time if they continue these type of changes.

MorRyde is gone from the Jay Flights. Snicholas, who told you the ladder wasn't part of the elite package which is now standard...? What I was given says the skylight and remote are now separate options but I believe the ladder is still included... See thread below...

my dealer told me it would be $55 to add the ladder. then a week later Jayco agreed to add the ladder, remote and skylight for no additional charge. THat was really nice of them to do.

2017 Elite Package

Thanks for the heads up. My dealer only told me that the skylight and remote would be an additional option in 2017. So from that conversation and the updated features info sheet they sent (which doesn't show ladder as an additional option) I thought I was good. I will double check now due to what you were told. Truthfully I'm not that concerned if it has a ladder but id like to know.... Again thanks

For what it is worth, my dealer called me today and said our 29RKS is now being built. I asked him about the model year change and he said it is being built as a 2016 with the original Elite package. The model change is for units recently ordered. Not sure when the cut off date was, ours was ordered in February.

2017 Elite Package

Rick thanks for the additional info. Our order wasn't finalized until 4/5. My sales person contacted me on 4/7 to say it would be a 2017 and wanted me to confirm on option changes between 2016 and 2017. Additional cost was never mentioned... Either way we are happy as long as we get what we ordered and don't have to wait too long. Our current trailer is sold but we have arranged that we don't turn it over to the buyers until we have our new trailer...
