2018 Jayco Quality

So we are eventually going to be purchasing a 2018 X23b (hybrid) and stopped at a dealer yesterday to see what changes and upgrades they have made this year. I've had a few other Jayco's, with a 2014 X23b being the most recent.

Long story short, we really like the upgrades as they seem to solve most of the gripes we had with our 2014 (low clearance, small wheels which made towing not the best, attached power cords, antenna, ect). However, we noticed the quality did not seem on par with our 2014. Starting with the caulk, they must be letting high school kids apply caulk on the new units. It was everywhere, very sloppy job. Also lots of small gaps around trim and components were it wasn't filled in all the way. I know they put the butyl tape behind everything, but it still looked pretty bad. The interior finishing also looked a little cheaper, but we could live with that for the upgrades. The biggest issue for me was the roof and the seams of whatever is under the membrane. I don't know if they changed the construction design, but at every section of the roof you could see a clear line in the membrane where the under layer was not flush on either side of the joint. It's almost like each strip (probably 3-5' wide) of plywood or whatever overlapped the next piece which left the front side of each joint 1/8" or more higher. I checked a few other 2018 jayco's at the dealer and they all seemed the same. I don't remember this being the case with our 2014 as I was on their often with cleaning and treatments. Seems like it was smooth at the joints. Anyone get on the roofs of their 2018's yet?
