2019 34G furniture vinyl replacement.

I just had all of the vinyl in my 2019 Jaco Precept 34G replaced. And I mean all of it - Captains chairs, sofa, loveseat, headboard, trim pieces around the drop-down bunk, and the table. Everything. I called numerous Upholstery shops and a few RV service centers in Florida and I got quotes ranging from $7500 to $16000. And most of those had me drive the RV to them and leave it there or I could take the furniture out myself, rent a trailer or something and drop it all off and the put it back in myself. Most RV service centers are at least a few hours away from me down here in South Florida so that’s an inconvenience and substantial additional cost. I ended up using Three Lions Upholstery located in central FL. I could not be happier with them. Pricewise, they were in the lower one of that range. Two guys drove down to my RV with a stretched Chevy van and disassembled the furniture inside my RV and took it all away. Took them maybe 3 hours and they knew what they were doing. I’m really glad I didn’t try disassembling and removing the furniture myself. They were totally willing to use whatever brand and type of replacement vinyl I wanted. I went with Seaquest marine grade vinyl. Originally, I was going to go with Sunbrella, but they didn’t have a color that was anywhere near close to what I wanted. The repair was done over the Christmas holidays so it took about six weeks. And then they showed up in that van with all my newly covered furniture, it probably took them every bit of six hours to get it back inside the RV, reassembled, and reinstalled, and these guys are good. They had air staple guns and special tools and you could really tell that they knew what they were doing. I’m so glad I didn’t try to take all the furniture out and take it someplace and then put it back in my self. Again, I’m really happy with the results. Similar feel to the original vital but it does just feel better or stronger I guess. Time will tell but I feel pretty good about it now. I’m very disappointed that I had to do this, but I wanted to do it one time and be over with. so I had to write a big check, but somebody else did all of the work. And they came to my house, I would definitely do it this way again. I looked at buying new furniture, but I think it was gonna be considerably more expensive, and I really like the furniture it came with other than it was all delaminating. I keep my RV in a storage place about 2 miles from my house and I did drive it back to the storage place by sitting on the Captain’s chair mounting bracket. I would definitely not want to drive it very far that way, but I was able to move the RV without any furniture or the captains chairs inside of there.
