240 volt issues

Hi there everyone happy new year to you all,
I have a 2008 jayco Discovery, while away we had a very hot day and when we got back in the afternoon our 240v system was shut down and wouldn't turn back on till later that evening.
Now intermittently the 240v is shutting down and takes a couple of minutes and well reset then I can use everything without a problem, very frustrating. I have the setec 11 system in the van,
any ideas on what could be going on before I go to the sparky.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum
Unplug now total thermal nuclear meltdown could happen at any time !!! Electrical problems at the pedestal. Be thankful your breakers have saved your wiring!
I am assuming you have a 50 amp system and the two 50 amp breakers are tripping inside not at
at the pedestal if that is the issue try another pedestal. Has your plug burned up yet? Check for discolored blades on your plug, indicating a bad receptacle. More than likely it's an open common or ground.
Check with others in the campground to find out if they are having the same problem?

Do you have a EMS to plug your Electrical cord into before plugging the EMS into the power pedestal? I will not leave home without one.

Can you elaborate on the shut down? Are the breakers tripping (coach or pedestal)? It also sounds like there is a time period before your power is restored, is an auto reset breaker involved?

hi
it is tripping in the van and I don't think there's a auto restore as have to switch on only after a period of time. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the setec11 system
