42 gallon blue tote - fill too high

Second post today about dumping my blue tote. There has to be some kind of award for that.

Bought my blue tote last year, didn't think to test it on my travel trailer. I didn't think it was that complicated of a problem. My mistake I guess - lesson learned.

To the problem - my 42 gallon tote is either too high, or my dump outlet pipe on my trailer is too low to connect a standard hose to each fitting.

I made it work for the first time I ever really needed to use it. I had to take the elbow the that normally goes into the ground dump station, put it on my trailer fitting, and push my blue tote under it. I had to push a 2x10 under the wheels of the tote to get a halfway decent seal on the tote. I was on a perfectly level pad, so my trailer had no blocks under the tires. Luckily I will probably only use my tote for grey water.

There has to be a better way. Someone please tell me I am not the first person to run into this problem and there is a better solution.

Build a really short (10 inches is my guess) waste hose.

Connect the hose to the trailer. The elbow at the other end and into your tote.

The weight of the water shouldn't pull the hose down too much and will give enough flex to hook up your tote.

I believe a shorter hose with the correct ends will work better for you.

This year I bought a macerator and will leave the blue tote in the truck and fill it with the garden hose. I am tired of the 3 mph trip to the dumps..lol

That probably empties nicely being high too.
