6 Volt Batteries

I am considering changing from my 4 12 volt batteries to 4 6 volts. Two of the brand names I have seen quite a bit are Trojan T105 and Lifeline GPL 4 CT. They seem comparable in price and specs. I'm wondering what the consensus is out in the RV world about them. Additionally, if there are other brands I should be considering, please let me know.

No opinion on brand but I have been told that Costco has them at reasonable prices.

Trojans seem to be the standard for solar applications. Seems that they would provide good service in your application as well.

I was told they are a rebranded Deka battery. I went with the 230Ah

Trojans are good, not sure about Lifeline. You might also want to look at Interstate.

I have a pair of Trojan T-105's that have been in full time service for almost six years. They still work great. I check the water level twice a year, spring and fall, and never have run them down way low. Fingers crossed that they will live a few more years. I will replace with the same when the time comes.

Trojans are the gold standard, but you pay for it as well. I had a set of Energizer GC2's in my last unit that lasted 5 seasons. This current unit has Interstates that are from new.

One thing you should look at is the new versions of AGM vs flooded. I will be going to AGM when due for a change.
