A/C gasket life

Hi all!
I am planning on putting some flexible solar panels on the roof of my 2012 X19H, and thought it maybe a good idea to replace the A/C gasket at the same time (after 8 years of service).

Question: how long do these gaskets normally last? Do you replace it after a certain time even if there is no issue? How long in between? Or do you wait for a leak to develop and check on a regular basis?

I have no leaks that I am aware of, and the roof and gasket look clean and in good shape.

Thanks for any replies and advice!

It should be changed about every 4-5 years and the 4 bolts that hold the A/C unit to the roof should be checked and tightened (slightly) every year. It you wait for a leak it’s too late for your roof as you’ll see when you check the gasket from the inside and see the exposed ceiling where the water will enter and just rot it out.

And most replacements have a 'gauge' on them which indicates how much compression should be applied for a proper seal by tightening the "4 bolts".

It's cheap insurance especially if the roof will be congested with solar panels.

That was my thinking. Do it now, access will be more difficult an a couple of weeks, and it was over-due anyway. I was delusional hoping somebody would tell me "don't worry about it" when I asked the question. But unfortunately Tunce's prompt response made sense.
Was not the easiest job though in the full sun. But it's done ....
