I had the switch fail on my unit, so I carefully disassembled the switch and cleaned all the grease out of the contacts then re-assembled the switch. Been working fine 2 years now. The grease is a general purpose grease without any temperature stability. The A/C in the ceiling gets pretty hot when not in use in the SE Louisiana summer ... it just melted and ran all over the inside of the rotary switch mechanism, insulating the contacts. Good Luck with the repairs. Swampy
