A/C replacements

I am helping my son with his JAyco 5th wheel. Both A/Cs need to be replaced. It presently has Coleman units installed. We are wanting to install the Dometic Breeze 2s I believe. The Coleman unite are both ducted and use one thermostat. One dealer told us it would work but didn't have tow units. So we calla somewhat local CW to see what they had in stock. WAs told the thermostat had to be changed to something else and the list has went on and on. Has anyone done this? If so what mods were needed? Thanks

My understanding is you do need to change out the thermostat. Why not just stay with the Coleman? Having owned both, the Coleman are much quieter.

Consider other things you have to change too, It adds up fast.

If you have the energy command on your Gen - it has wires to the thermostat. Your furnace may need a new thermostat if you change it.

What happened to cause both units to go bad on a 2 year old rig? Just curious.

I would keep the Coleman brand. My rig has separate thermostats for each unit in different areas.
