Adding extra jacks?

We have bought a 19 ft Jayco and it comes with two stabilizer jacks which doesn't seem like enough, my question for those who have experience is this;
can we add two additional jacks but leave them portable? or do we have to permanently attach them to the trailer?
TY

I picked up a couple "universal RV Stabilizers" that have a noticeable effect.

I use a 4 ton bottle jack on each side just ahead of the front wheel.
Always jack the frame not the axle

These are about $20 each at Harbor Freight

They can be a pain the "tookus" to operate if they are not permanently attached. They don't usually want to stand upright when being expanded. That would be the only problem I see with using them as portable.

Great so maybe we'll try the easy way first and if that proves to be a pain then maybe we will put them in permanently.
Thanks for your help!

That's kind of where I am now. I've been using these (Robot Check) since Christmas.

I love the added stability, but they are very finicky and difficult to use. So now I'm exploring the option of adding permanently attached scissor jacks in front of my front axle.

Edit: Don't know why my link says "robot check", that's never happened before...

As someone who has just switched from stand alone stabilizers to permanently mounted ones.

BOLT 'EM ON!

Laying on the ground, trying to find the right spot to hit on the underside of the trailer every-single-time; parts twisting and falling over until the connection is made....

Pain in the tuchus (phlegm in the back of the throat) barely describes the process of using separate jacks.

Could it be a feature of the new server?

Edit: Not likely. I see other from links today that are not "robot check".

The stabilizing jacks only stabilizes vertical not the rocking movement of the trailer, just get some x-shocks if you have a tandem trailer.

I agree with mike837go, I bolted on 2 stabilizer jacks to the front of my 19XUD that only came with two rear jacks. Now when I lower all 4 stabilizer jacks the trailer is good and solid.
