Additional Space
If you could add a small amount of space, five or so square feet, would it be kitchen, bath, bedroom, living room, dining room, storage, or hallways?

Storage!! With the Hummingbird storage space is very limited.

In my unit, I would love to have an additional foot or two in the bathroom. It's functional, but a little tight.

More storage is just more space for the missus to fill up with stuff that we never use.

I'd like a little more knee room in the bathroom and a squish more space between the foot of the bed and the wall.

My pants belt.
Being more serious, most likely storage.

When I drew up the blueprints for my house, I figured what I needed and then added a few more feet. Most houses in the neighborhood have 2 car garages, but I made mine a 5-car. Can't have too much space. Even with all that room, with adequate design and insulation I still use less energy than most of my neighbors.
For an RV, OTOH, I bought what I considered was the LEAST space I could live with. I mean, we are camping, not living in a home 24 / 7 / 365. For additional needed storage, I built two 7'x7' Rubbermaid "barns" to house the overflow.
I figure that the smaller the trailer, the less propane is required to heat the inside on cold Winter nights. What I hate most is having to get up in the middle of the night to change a tank.
The RV we chose is adequate in every space. However, I admit that the shower is too small for me, but I fixed that by using a small plastic bench, so I shower sitting down. Works just fine. Also, since there is not enough room to dry off in the bathroom, I have to come out to the kitchen to get the job done. So, our guests just go outside for a few minutes.
No problems are insurmountable. Just need to be creative.

George Carlin summed it up. People buy houses (and we can add RV's) to store their 'stuff'. They buy bigger, because they get more 'stuff'.
We all need more storage.

Our little guy is roughly a 20'x8' box, and no slide, so having the last 10 years to try and fill it with everything we think we'll use or ever need in it, we're at the point that when something goes in, something has to go out. Every spring we go through it, and if there's something we haven't used in a year, or can't remember why we have it in there in the first place, it comes out.

Having the same TT as you, I’d second the bedroom space. But, since I’m 6-6, I want it added to the end of the mattress . Of course DW wants it in the kitchen.

I too am 6’6” and i would add space to the bedroom ceiling and doorways! Our 317RLOK 5th wheel is great until I forget to duck going through the bedroom or bathroom door. Just a part of my life as a tall guy. And my wife wonders why I don’t stand up straighter. LOL!

Unless someone figured out how to stretch the frame and add more living space, we're stuck with the space we have. Making better use of what we have is what we did. I added a storage cabinet in the dead space over the microwave and added shelves to the existing cabinets. The best thing about what I have is that it's paid for. There's always going to be a bigger, better RV out there.
