Just purchased the same one and used it for the first time this week. Very well constructed and it did it's job. I expect to be using this one for a number of years to come.

I have seen a stand made from a old Christmas tree stand.

Check into a rebuild kit for the regulator. It will need one at some point.

I have noticed in two of the pictures posted here that the pressure regulator is placed AFTER the hose to the bibb and filter.

Why not put the regulator at the hose bibb and protect EVERYTHING?

I have had to rebuilt my regulator twice over the past 7 years. I keep a rebuild kit in my box of "stuff" just in case. I am in a park right now with high pressure so the regulator is a must.

I agree. I put my regulator right at the campsite faucet so my hose is protected also.

Check with the place purchased or manufacturer that made.

Mine came from Lowes and they are available from the maker, Watts.

Good question. The reason I prefer this setup is that my filter reduces the water pressure. So if I install the filter after the regulator I would not know the true pressure reading going into the camper.

Wow what a difference. I had the high flow fixed adapater. Just put in the adjustable and set at 55 which seems to be the park pressure. When running water it will drop to 45 psi.
Just being curious I put my fixed high flow in line before the adjustable. PSI about 43 and when running water dropped to about 38 psi. So now I will be using the fixed one on my black tank hose

There are a few reason I put the regulator after the filter and just before the water enters the TT...

- A couple of the other regulators I had kept getting clogged filters in them from being at the CG spicket, before the filter. May be one of the reasons that they go bad so fast.
- If the regulator was mounted at the CG spicket it is in the wide open it could get legs, and the sun beats down on the metal housing and heats the water.
- Finally it is out of the elements where I have it located on the back bumper, and very easy to see the pressure when I walk by.

As for the hose, I carry extra hose connectors to fix the hose if they happen to start leaking... as in the picture. I also have a spare hose in the storage box. There is no pressure difference before or after the filter.

While pressure can fluctuate, hooking up a gauge prior to hooking up your rig can give you a ball park idea on the CG pressure.
The CG water pressure is likely regulated at the input valve. If that regulator ever fails it will be your RV plumbing that will be at risk. A regulator on your water line is cheap insurance for someone elses mistake.

Per Jayco customer service department. In order for the Girard Tankless Water Heater to work correctly, the manufacturer says to not use a water pressure regulator. I debated the point and the helpful customer service rep at Jayco says that they also questioned the logic, and Girard convinced them that a pressure regulator messes up the pressure based sensors in the water heater by restricting flow. To be safe, I just ordered an adjustable regulator with a gauge and will set it at 50-55 to see if there is an improvement in how the tankless water heater functions.

So, if Jayco now recommends not using a water pressure regulator, yet the dealer is emphatic that one be used, who is responsible if a water line bursts?

Thoughts?

Bozemanite.
