Air compressor recommendation

I’m looking to replace my old portable 12 volt air compressor that I keep onboard to fill my 80psi camper tires. I’m looking to get another 12 volt.

The thought crossed my mind that I might want one that had the ability to blow out insect nests from my appliance/gas lines, as well as fill the tires.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Viair makes great compressors.

Bought this VIAIR on Amazon, great compressor. Without a tank you wont get the volume of air needed to blow out insect nests. https://www.amazon.com/VIAIR-30033-3...compressor+12v

I dropped and busted my 12v and decided to go with a $30 120v from Walmart. The 12v don't have long enough power cords to reach my camper tires and I can't always get the truck near the tires. With 120v, I can use a long extension cord or connect it to an inverter in my truck. It seemed like the most versatile set up.

VIAIR. Period. Get a good one that clamps to the battery. Or the cigarette plug ones and you can get a cigarette plug extension cord on amazon. These compressors are a nice piece of machinery and are money well spent. I’ll never go back to a black plastic crap box.

Great, thank you!

I’ll figure something else about how to clear out the insect nests!

I used mine on the maiden voyage in the new MH. I put valve stem extensions on the rear duals and one leaked. My Viair compressor inflated the MH tire up from pretty much empty to 80 PSI, no problem. It was expensive, but I'm willing to pay for a quality piece of kit, especially when it's as essential as an air pump.

Was going to start a new thread but reviving this one.
Saw these air compressors online ( rv.geeks) YouTube channel.). I def want to buy one but see they range from 150 -300$. I have a class C and don’t think I need the totally high end one but one somewhere in between to fill the rear duallys. Def don’t need 60 ft of hose.

I think I’m leaning towards the 450p rv model

I bought this after packing up and realizing I hadn't aired up.

It uses the same batteries as my drill/impact/reciprocating tools.

I recently bought this one, and got to use it for the first time yesterday.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Worked fine. Filling up some tires that were 5-10 psi "light" took me about 10 minutes or so.

My TT is 19', so I don't have large PSI requirements.

I have a Viair and can't argue that it's a great unit, but I recently picked up one of these and it's pretty impressive. I already carry Milwaukee M12 stuff in my truck and camper, so I have plenty of batteries available. One fresh battery topped off 3 vehicles. One was my Excursion (55psi on rear and 45psi on fronts). You just set the pressure you want and walk away. The only downside is if you have no charged batteries.

I’m thinking about this for the convenience of 120v in camp. May I ask how big a tire have you inflated? My TT tires are 65 psi and my truck LR E’s are 80. I also noticed some of the reviews said the 12v plug didn’t fit their vehicle’s power port. Any issue there? Thanks,
