Air conditioner Lift

We took our trailer back to the dealer and he told us that all Furrion air conditioner lift in the back. It will raise about 3 inches. When we went down the road truckers told us our ac is coming up in the back.
Is this true? This is our first Furrion and all ac conditioner we have ever owned never moved. I this a story from the dealer?

I would contact Furrion customer service and ask them that question.

Sounds wrong, all that motion could cause wear, possible with time, the cover could fly off and cause a major accident. Maybe even damage your roof.

Grab your ladder, go up on the roof, inspect the ac and roof (caulk) this should be done twice a year anyways. Grab the ac unit cover and see how much it moves. My coleman has 4 screws that hold the cover to the ac. Zero motion.

Let me see if I understand this. Your dealer told you it's normal for the back end of your AC unit to lift up and away from the roof about 3 inches???

Then plop back down? Up and down? Up and down???

I don't want to advocate violence but I think your dealer needs a swift kick in the bo-jangles!

Just for giggles I just downloaded and looked at ONE of the Furrion AC installation manuals. Your dealer needs to be kicked - twice.

Exclamation

I would be suspect of anything with the Furrion name on it

I would certainly check the bolts that hold down the A/C and the cover for it. Mine is the Mach 15 and has the a/c hold down bolts underneath the inside shroud, yours may be there as well. For sure, if those bolts are loose, then that is not proper on any a/c (or for most anything that uses bolts). ~CA

The dealer called us today and told us that the ac is tight and not lifting. Our roof is a mess now! I just want to get it home and I will coat the roof.
Furrion has been a big help. It’s funny how I was told the ac is designed to move up and down. We will put foam blocks under the back of the ac.
After Furrion e mailed the dealer it is now ok.
We took a trip for 7 days after 3 days the noise has us going home early. After we got it back we took another trip for 4 days. This year we went camping 7 days. The trailer spent the year at the dealer. It took 5 months to get our ac problem solved.
We don’t have a Jayco dealer we can go to instead of the one we get our work done.
