Air conditioners sinking

We have a 2018 Talon 313T that we purchased new off the lot in July. We just brought it in to get a few minor things fixed and found out we have a lot more wrong with it than we thought.

The two air conditioners are sinking collapsing into the roof and has sunk about and inch or so down and is holding water. In addition, we brought it in because some of the floor was coming up (didn’t seem major at the time) but the dealer discovered that factory had cut pieces out of the floor and then placed it back and “fixed it” by sealing it back. This is where the floor is coming up and you can feel where the wood under it was cut.

The dealership is waiting to hear back to see how to pursue this matter and is pushing for a new unit for us.

Has anyone ever heard of this on a new camper or even from the factory with these issues?

Exchanging a unit, never heard of it. Sending it back to Jayco for a complete rebuild , heard of this many times.

Wonder what is up with the roof. The new arched roof design seems rock solid. Sounds like cross bracing was omitted.

Good luck, keep us updated.

Yes it was never sold and is technically new, but it apparently sat on the lot for at least a year. If the dealer didn't check the roof regularly there could be a leak that has softened the roof structure.

I would "question" the factory making a floor repair, why would they do that? It would be just as easy for them to replace the whole thing since it would have still been at the factory when the damage occurred. There are numerous posts where the factory has done or authorized complete replacement and did not have the floor patched.

Won't say it didn't happen, but it just seems strange after it sat on the dealers's lot that long.
