Alaska Reservations or NOT

We are planning a 2-1/2 month drive from Park City Utah through Canada and Alaska. Portland, Seattle, Whistler, Cassiar Highway, Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, Homer, Jasper, Banff, Calgary, Glacier and home. Doing all of this in our 2018 Alante 31V with a toad from early June to mid August. Our schedule has us doing about 100-150 miles per day so plenty of time to see the sights. My big question from those that have done the trip is: should I make camp reservations or not? My instinct is not and take my chances except for maybe in the big cities like Fairbanks and Anchorage and then just call ahead a couple of days in advance. I can boondock in my rig for at least 5 days so if I can't get into a rv park I can stop most anywhere. What do you all think?

We made the trip to Alaska from factory in mid May 2017. Rented 4 Class C rigs , picked them up at the manufacture and turned them in at Alaska then flew home. We took three weeks to see the sites. Had reservations at each stop but many were just opening up for the season so plenty of room. If you are going in May I suggest check opening dates of campgrounds along your route so you will know your options.
