Ok, we went thru the fire in Willow yesterday and had to pick up several bus loads of passengers in Talkeetna as the hwy was closed and they couldn't get thru. Coming back this morning had to turn HVAC off in train because of smoke. I have video of fire and firefighters beside train I will post ASAP.

This is video of firefighter and fire beside train. I have pics of 2 helicopters flying with us dumping fire retardant and water beside train I need to load as well.

Headed to Anchorage AM, Eagje River State camp ground. Then train to Seward and back. Hope we make it. There using escorts to get lines of traffic thru fire smoke on road to Anchorage. Hope they continue tomorrow. At one point at Willow on train smoke was so thick couldn't see 100 ft.

Have a cash offer for my RZR..more than I paid...I can buy new one in Texas cheaper...it's staying here.
Person I left my other 2012 Ram Cummins with sold it as well.
I think I smell a new C7 corvette when I get home.

Ok..lets talk about Jayco quality. I have had no issues to speak of. No loose bolts, trim etc. after around 12,000 or more miles total since we picked it up last August. And we have been in some ROUGH roads. Running 80-85 MPH lots of the time. Only problem is tri-shower door coming apart. Tiny bearings coming out from under doors and roller wheels falling out of top. Still useable. Not a Jayco part. Easy for them to replace whole thing when we get back.
So far I have not seen one RV or vehicle anywhere we've been with tire issues. The front of the camper is still like new. It's been a great adventure so far. I would recommend but I can give pointers on which vendor trips to do. It's snowed last week, 6 inches and 84 today.
Did see more bears and moose today, we think running from fire and smoke.

Wow, and that's after you took it "swimming". I'm guessing there was no real damage. If you only had a toy hauler, you coulda brought a dozen of em.

No damage at all. Still perfect...just dirty. They are made for this type use.

Finally made it to Eagle River camp ground. Was one way, State Troper led, for 27 miles. Then they turn around and take a line back. Lots damage, houses burned around Willow.
Moose and Caribu running crazy,

Changed our plans, train to Seward tomorrow then spend night then boat trip then back here Thursday PM.

Your forest fire made the news on the east coast last night. Well at least in Philly.

This fire is now the #1 priority fire in the nation. Last I heard we had dozens of our crews on it and crews from 6 other states.

Fires in Alaska made the National News everywhere. They were showing fires all over California and the ones in Alaska as well. Y'all folks need some of Texas's rain!
