Am I crazy

suppose to be in the high fifties to low sixties this weekend, here in the heartland. I asked the wife want to go spend the weekend RVing. Going to be in the 30s during the nite. She said have to winterize again, I said why. We will jjust bring a couple of jugs park by the bathhouse like the old days. Let me know what you think.

Go for it, I've camped several times in freezing night temps, even if you re-winterized, it's not that big of a deal

I just told mine to pack up, we were going camping! Yeah, right. LOL. We do go camping every month, regardless of the weather. January we had two days of frozen water pipes in the campground but no problem. Just use the campground facilities. Cold weather is some of the nicest camping times we have, sitting by a good fire, just relaxing with some hot Java. One of our cold weather problems is our furnace. Thank goodness for the fireplace and portable heaters. My furnace is still not working properly and in fact is in the shop this week. Furnace has to be pulled out and check all tolerances to see what is going on. Thank goodness this happened under warranty as an access hole had to be cut in the basement storage area to get the furnace out. Waiting for results of tests. This is my third Jayco, most expensive unit to date, and first problems I have had with any Jayco. Still a great unit and we love it.

I say go for it! Even if you did have to winterize again, I still think it's worth it!

DW and I had a New Years trip planned, but the weather was horrible, so we rescheduled for the following weekend. It ended up being almost as bad that weekend too, but we went anyway. It was relaxing and we got plenty of naps. It was dreadfully cold and rainy and windy all weekend, but we still had fun. Between our little space heater and our on-board furnace, we were snug as bugs. Worst part was all the condensation on the windows. I couldn't flow enough air to keep them dry, so I gave up and started using a beach towel to wipe them down every so often. We were at the beach, so it's too bad that's the only action the beach towel saw that weekend!

Winterizing is 30 minutes and a couple gallons of anti-freeze.

A weekend of camping....Priceless

Are you crazy? Yes!
But I think that has nothing to do with whether you should go camping or not.

Well it is 19 degrees here and feels like 12 degrees F. We are planning on camping this weekend. Hoping the weather man is right with the forecast.

Winter camping seems to be on the increase these days which I think is a good thing. My last boondock camping trip before the snow started flying this past season the high temps were in the low 30's and the lows were in the teens. I just made sure my propane tanks were full, plenty of gas for the generator and plenty of wood for the fire.

We use the COLEMAN ROADTRIP which comes in very handy two wheel tote. Packs up great and the tote has pockets for all the accessories...

We still use the 1LB propane canister which work great and adds to our back-up propane canisters on hand to run our emergency heat needed when using the MR BUDDY heater when camping off the power grids..

My trailers both came with the outside grills and they were given away along time ago - never opened them up. I was not all that excited of have the grill setup on the side of the trailer. I am sure they are all safe and all but we feel it is much better to have the grill a few feet away from the trailer wall.

One of these days I will make up a nice small table to use where the wall mounted grille attached to the trailer.

I got my my present COLEMAN ROADTRIP back in 2008 - Easy to clean up with the water tray in the bottom to catch all of the greese drippings. The different GRILLs you are using hoses down real quick when you are done using them.
