Amount of usage on your exterior shower box?

I use my all the time, Great for cleaning up, washing hair, Have not used it on the dog yet
Just got Buddy back from the vet, teeth cleaning very sleepy

Ok I know it is upside now, Why?

We have had 2 rigs with them. We use them all the time but have never showered in it.

The bolt is a 3/8" x 1-1/2"sst and nut.
Did not have to drill a hole, it's already there to hold the end cap.

That shower head and hose that comes as original equipment was a piece of trash. No pressure, leaked like a sieve, and never turned completely off at the shower head. We replaced it with a better showerhead and a stainless steel flexible hose and it worked fine.

Looking over the thread, I guess I'm in the minority. I use mine often! In fact, I upgraded the faucet to allow for a 15' coil-style hose with regular hose nozzle.

I think it depends where Jayco located the outside shower. Ours is right next to the front bedroom door. It would be a mess by the door unless we used some kind of tub to catch the water. Needless to say we don't use ours.

Have had one on both of our TT's over the years and never used it. I did, however, forget to winterize it....twice. Doh!

X2. You are not alone. We use it frequently. Sometimes as an outdoor shower, mostly as an outside hookup for our portable kitchen.

We were just in FL staying at the beach for 10 days. We used ours outdoor shower everyday after coming back from the beach. I have some rubber interlocking tiles that have holes in the for drainage. I put those down on the ground, a pump bottle of dial (hair & body wash) and everyone had their showers for the day upon returning from the beach!

That's about the same as mine. We have a mini-kitchen on the door side, with a water spigot - so that gets the use for those kinds of needs. With the shower on the opposite side, it is less convenient. We thought it would be a dog wash, but haven't needed it yet. No kids, and never any beach sand to worry about, so not anything useful has cropped up yet.

We always use ours when we are camping near a beach. Kids can hose off the sand there.

I find it handy for washing too when we have a campsite with water, but no sewer.

I won't be without one...has to be on the back or left side of camper as we use ours several times a day! We only cook with cast iron over a wood fire so we use the shower to clean the cast iron and also just for general hand washings when doing things outside. We run RC's a fair amount while camping so I am usually getting dirty hands with maintaining them.

On a side note, make sure the hot and cold valves are always turned off after using and not some other type of on/off valve modification or there could be a lack of water issue while using other taps in the RV while on pump.
This could also happen with the indoor shower.

We use our external washer at some point every trip. If were at the beach it's for washing sand, if the dog finds roadkill to roll in, or just for washing up. I have a couple of plastic milk crates I keep in my passthrough storage to hold various items and they get turned over for the littleones to stand on and then one of those plastic mesh mats to let the water go through.

I guess i could live without it, but then I'd have to hood up a hose to the city water and it would always be cold.

FWIW, we have one in our boat and when its cold water crabbing season there is nothing like a little warm water to warm up cold hands after pulling pots.

Good point, but I would say as opposed to a "lack of water" issue, you'd have a hot water mixing issue. If you leave the hot and cold valves on and turn off an auxiliary valve (like the one on the shower head), the hot and cold water mix throughout the system.

Secondary use when parked near the barn: Spraying air temperature water at a near overheated tractor's radiator. Brings things down to reasonable fairly quickly.
