Annual price increase

Does anyone know what time of year Jayco does their price increase? When the next years model comes out possibly? Trying to decide if I should order now or wait until Feb. Thanks.

Dealer said it would probably happen before Feb, just wanted to know if that was true.

That's a dealer tactic to get you into the unit before the winter lull. However if you wait until Feb or spring you will potentially run into a backlog on a custom order that puts you out until May, June. Delivery, prep and all that stuff can take what seems like an eternity and if something is wrong out of gate your into summer for sure. Sometimes you can order today and ask for delivery say March or April so you get in the production line. Figure 8-12 weeks until you see your unit.

What you might loose are some freebies that Jayco includes during the fall new season. With Hershey and the new model release they may provide some upgrades without additional costs in the higher end units. There is no perfect time except the one that's right for you. Patience will yield the best deal in most cases.

Thanks, I thought they were just trying to get me to sign on the dotted line. I have a show near me this weekend so I will see what deals are going on. They have the same model that I want but without a lot of options and they said it would be only $1,000 less than if I order. Very surprised.

If you don't want it until next year just wait and buy one from the lot...you will save money VS ordering one.

What trailer?

What options are you looking for?

As close as you are to Indiana I wouldn't even think twice about driving there instead

They will match RVdirect's price and I'm afraid that more people will be looking for RV's near spring. I'm looking at 32IBTS and the one on their lot is only $1,000 less. I'm in NY so unfortunately I'm not near Indiana.

The manufacturers can raise prices at any time they choose, but the raise would likely come with the new model year which is usually in the Spring.

Thanks Crabman, it's worth waiting then. I thought Feb would be a good time to order for May delivery.

If you order in February and the build time is 6 to 8 weeks it could very possibly be a 2016 model. I suppose the best thing would be to ask the dealer when the cutoff is for ordering a 2015 and avoid the likely price increase with the 2016 models.

That would be really nice and I would have locked in a price of a 2015 correct?

Not sure how all dealers work it, but with RVDirect I put 10% down when ordering, and the price was set at that time. In about 7 weeks the unit was ready for pickup.

Don't forget. Jayco could discontinue the line you are looking at as well. Likely not to happen but something to prepare for if you wait

That is also true, I wonder why they got rid of the 33bhts. I wouldn't mind that one too. Seems like the island makes more counter space.

Prices might even go down a little in February. Figure people are still buying for fall camping. In Upstate I doubt you have too many people winter camping, so I imagine sales drop off from November to March. You need to worry about your individual dealership's pricing, not necessarily Jayco's.

I don't think there is any set price increase, but every year they can change what comes standard and what options are available and colors and whatnot. Those changes usually come with a price change.

If it is only $1000 more to order the trailer YOU want with the options YOU want, as opposed to something sitting on the dealers lot, I would jump on that in a heartbeat!

Thanks Spoon059, dealership said that they are offering free delivery to the season spot I have for the show this weekend but I think I may be better off waiting.
