Very interesting to see how wildly this varies from state to state and in Canada. The costs I mentioned in the original post did not include sales tax on the original purchase. That's a one time deal for us, that was financed into the loan. So looking at my purchase agreement, that ended up being an additional 1114$ to the state, and 1402 to Denver and it looks like for the next 3 years it's about 2000 dollars a year for both the truck and the TT.

It looks like some of you don't have to re-register everything every year. It definitely stings when all of these bills come in. We need to start using our camper a LOT more to justify all of this.

Was a hard year for us camping wise.. I lost half the summer waiting on my new truck and by the time we got our act together with reserving sites, it was really too late to get in where we like to go. Already starting some planning for next season!

No sales tax here in New Hampshire. Cost me around $280 to register truck this year and around $90 on the trailer.

Ontario Canada
We pay tax when we register a vehicle or trailer. Trailer plates are permanent, and no tag/stickers are required. Vehicles are renewed annually, $120, and every second year in many parts of Ontario, we are required to pass an emissions test, which used to cost money, however, the cost has now been waived on vehicles that have the requirement.
What gets me, is the Government gets sales tax when the vehicle is bought the first time, and they also collect each time the vehicle is sold used. Maybe that is why I keep mine till they go to the bone yard LOL

Praying our home sells real soon and we can relocate to Idaho. Sick to death of california. Or else the State of Jefferson...
moved to Idaho from California, rented the California home until it sold best move I have ever made.

In WI trailers are $15 a year. Pop-ups do not need to have plates but some people get them voluntarily. Plates stay with the trailer no matter who owns it.

My car is $75 a year, and $30 for county wheel tax (they just started that this year).

My truck plates carry a "C" weight rating, meaning they are $106 a year to renew, plus the $30 county wheel tax. "A" rating is $75 annual, "B" rating is $84 annual.

We pay sales tax on both new and used vehicles and trailers.

Hi from Linglestown, PA as well!

$212 per year for the 3/4 ton truck, and $12 a year for the trailer. I can't believe what some states are charging!
