Exclamation Another TOW MIRROR question. (2013 RAM 1500)

What tow mirrors do you use? Permanent? Slip on?

I am wanting to purchase some for my truck but want to hear what people have experienced with each.

These Longview's have pretty good reviews. https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Towi...id=20134033904

I also like these permanent ones. https://www.1aauto.com/2013-ram-1500...h+Mirror+Glass

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I am waiting for the cost to come down some on OEM mirrors for my truck. In the meantime I use. slip on set made by CIPA. Looks very good, remain stable and don't mark up stock mirrors at all. Only negative is the glass is on the small side. I also have a pair of slip on Gran Aeros which I like a lot. The glass is much larger but I think they look horrible.

So for me right now it comes down to function vs. looks until I can afford a factory set.

The factory tow mirrors are available on eBay for $209.99 with free shipping.
That's where I got mine from almost 6 years ago and they are holding up great.

I prefer the permanent OEM style.
check out www.carid.com do a simple search for your 2013 Dodge Ram side view mirrors -or- towing mirrors. There you will find almost every variety you could ask for and the prices are reasonable.

I'm happy with the CIPA slip-on mirrors I got for my F150. Made a 1500 mile round trip to Maine with them, worked just fine. If you're on the road all the time then you might want something with a bigger mirror, but for occasional towing you can't beat the price of the CIPA slip-on mirrors. They're stable, too.

I use the slip on mirrors, otherwise I'd have to fold them back to get into the garage. Since my F-150 is my daily driver, the removable mirrors are more convenient for me.

I have a 14 Ram 1500 and use the CIPA slip on mirrors. For the price, function and looks, I feel that they can't be beat. For me, due to my work schedule, I can only get out about 5 times a year so these are perfect for my needs.

I have the Longview mirrors that the etrailer link shows for my 2014 RAM 1500. These have worked great for our setup - quick and easy to put on, no vibration while driving and plenty of clearance to fold the mirrors if needed. For the 6-7 times a season we are towing right now they can't be beat. I would have preferred the factory tow mirrors but for some inexplicable reason every truck that I looked at with the factory tow package also had a delete for the factory tow mirrors.... go figure....

Here are a few shots of what they look like installed:

I se the McKesh mirrors on my Tacoma. I have had no problem with them scratching the truck as some claim they do. Used them on my Escape also.

I used the same clip on mirrors pictured for about 8 months. I upgraded my tow vehicle from a 2011 Sport to a 2016 Laramie that had the flip up mirrors on already. So if any body wants a gently used pair for a Ram I'll gladly part with then to a RVer in need!
