I'm looking for about the same thing. From reading the reviews, it seems like all of the 12V LCD/DVD are just so-so. I've not found any that really stand out. Not sure which one I'm going with yet. - Justin

12V televisions seem to command a disproportionate price. I purchased two NAXA 22 inch.

We never used one. I purchased a regular TV/DVD unit and then purchased an inverter to plug it into the 12v outlet. It's probably cheaper and also gives you the option to plug other devices into it.
When not watching TV we could plug in a fan, charge out phones, use a cpap machine and more.

I have a Proscan LED 19" or so that I got from Menards of all places. It came with a 110v to 12v adapter so I imagine you could get a cigarette lighter plug to do the same. Had it for about a year and I use it in the bedroom while we're home and in the 23B when we camp..I think I paid around $100 for it at the time.

Now that I'm home I can provide a link. We used an inverter in our 17z when we didn't have electric. You simply plug the inverter into the 12V outlet and it will give you AC power that you can plug a standard device into. What's great about the inverter is that when you're not watching TV, it enables you to plug any standard device in and have AC power, even when you're off the grid.
Here's one of the ones I use.
You can even use it in your car to power the kids games or any kind of portable device. I have a sal****er aquarium with coral and it's very important to have water flow throughout the tank. When you lose power, you have stagnant water. I've plugged the inverter into my van and then ran an extension cord into my living room to power some of my fish tank pumps to keep the water flowing.

I bought a 22" LED 120v model and use an inverter when I am off the grid. Likely cheaper than purchasing a dedicated 12v model.

That would work, I hate the idea of converting from DC to AC then from AC back to DC for the LCD/LED. Given if I'm off the grid, I want to be sure my battery holds up so anywhere I can increase efficiency I like to do that. Perhaps I'm over-doing it. :-)

You're right, there is a loss converting back and forth. Call me old school but I'd rather have a brand name for cheaper and with the money I saved I bought another battery.

X2 When we dry camp I always bring a second battery for "fun stuff". The camper battery is only for the camper.

Got my Sceptre E195BD-SHD led/dvd combo today (got to love Amazon Prime). It has a nice picture and good sound for it's size and price. Just tested it out to make sure it's good to go before mounting in the camper. Will probably mount it this weekend.
It's funny I e-mailed Sceptre Tech Support asking the following: "Do have a suggestion for a cable for use with this TV that goes from a 12 volt DC receptacle/cigarette lighter receptacle to the 12V input on the E195BD-SHD?"
Their reply: "I’m sorry no. The Tv needs stable electricity to work."
It's not marketed as being for RVs and they expect you'll only use their provided power supply. That's not going to stop me though. I'll just make my own 12v cable once I get a chance.
