Are these strong enough?

I recently purchased a 2017 F-250. Went down to the storage area to get the WDH re-dialed in for the new truck and found out with the new style hitch that hooking up the safety chains was a real PITA. I did it but struggled with it. I either need larger safety hooks or some other way to hook the safety chains to the hitch. I was thinking I could attach these to the hitch and hook the safety chains into them. They're rated at 6700lbs each. https://www.amazon.com/Screwgate-Loc...carabiner&th=1
Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks, Terry
Our camper weighs 9200lbs loaded [scaled].

I don't think the link you provided went to the right page, they look like lightweight aluminum carabiners. I would use something like this, maybe even something more heavy duty, don't want it to be the weak link and break if ever needed.

I would not. Carabiners are not for heavy loads like that.

Go to a local hardware store or tractor supply and get the chain with the threaded part. Get one at rated the same as your chains.

PS sorry we posted about same time. Two different solutions that will work

x3 This is what I use. When I bought my boat, the PO gave me one because the safety chain was a little too short. It didn't take me long to realize I needed another one.

Suggest you put some anti-seize or "something" to keep the links from rusting in the closed/threaded position. Having to cut those suckers off is a bit inconvenient. LOL

Pretty sure they are 3/4. Bought them at the tractor supply store but I think Lowes carries them also. They worked very well.

This is what I found was useful.
Got them at tractor supply.
The 3/8" hooks have a safe working load rating of 5400# each
