Atwood air conditioner

Has anyone been around the Atwood A/C? I don't have one on the front and wanting to install one. From what I see about the Coleman Mach8 they are noisy and real bad outside. They rate the Atwood a little higher on the output. Up for pros and cons. Thanks. Looking at the 13.5.

All of the roof air units are going to be noisy. For the minimal difference in cost, I would go with the larger unit. Bigger is better because the units are not that efficient and trailers are poorly insulated. You'll need all you can get. Stay with the major manufacturers, Dometic, or Coleman.

I now have a Keystone Outback, but I try to help when I can.

Bob is correct. The difference in current draw between a 15,000 and 13,500 BTU A.C. unit is minimal. Go with the 15,000.. And yes they all are loud.
I have found that our new 2014 Keystone Cougar High Country 321RES trailer's A.C. is quieter than the 2007 Jayco Eagle 322FKS we had.
Happy trails,
