Those suggesting the OP go talk to the agencies are right. They have the power, and OP would do well not to poke them. Unfortunately, various governments control virtually every aspect of our lives these days, right down to our choice of toilets. But the majority have chosen this with their vote, otherwise the situation wouldn't exist. I don't believe the majority of voters realize the importance of their vote.

As for Ms. Nasty Neighbor, while you can't influence the behavior of a sick or mean person, you can bet that she's far more miserable 24/7 than she occasionally makes you. When we first moved to the mountains our 2nd nearest neighbor was a half a mile away. He came to welcome us, we thought, but quickly discovered that he had managed to alienate just about everyone on our hill, and why. Over time we learned he'd lost touch with his grown children, his former wife, and that his stubbornness had cost him nearly all of his once considerable assets. Your neighbor may have a similar story. Or, she may simply be sick.

Some people are just jealous and hate people that seem to be happier or have more than them. She may just hate that you have more toys (camper) than she does. She is just a miserable person and people like that only find happiness when the people around them are also miserable.

As long as you are not breaking any laws or code restrictions then she can't do crap but lodge complaints. Eventually the authorities will come to know her as a thorn in their side and take action against her.

The problem gets bigger when those individuals complain constantly to the commissions and the individuals that do not respond showing that they are within their legal rights to have what they have and where they have them, and are abiding by the rules are not on record. So all you have are the complaints, so when the measure comes up for vote again (as ours did in December) the board may take away a little of our rights to keeping RV's and boats on our property. They may say you can only keep a max 25' TT behind a 6' privacy fence... and eventually you will not be able to keep anything on your property. The good news is, our commission voted to keep the regulations as is.

Yea, sounds like a miserable person. I am SO Blessed to live in a cul-de-sac where I have neighbors that all love camping and do not mind at all us having our 26ft. RV parked in the driveway (further back) by side of house. No real fence around. Heck, we have power to it and keep it very very clean and use it as almost a guest house for friends when we need extra room. My wife and I actually go out some nights and enjoy a movie in it sort of like a date night. Our neighbors have no issues and all but 1 in the circle have RV's so we are all like family.

I would call the agencies, answer any questions they may have, and, even invite them to come out and inspect the camper to verify no one is, or has been living there. You might not want them coming out, but, the sooner they realize your neighbor is a chronic complainer, and just trying to stir trouble, the sooner they will simply leave you alone. Then, if her complaints continue, or increase, the issue will be between them, and her, for filing false complaints. Plus, if it reaches the point of being a civil matter, your compliance, and cooperation will go a long way towards proving harrassment.
