Awning adjustment

I'm trying to adjust the awning for it to maybe have more tilt. How do I adjust it. It's a 2016 white hawk. Thanks in advance.

You don't mention what make your awning is but:
1. Loosen black knob on both sides.
2. Carefully pull black arm at pivot point toward camper. Watch your fingers and hands!
3. Tighten black knobs.
4. To retract loosen both knobs and carefully extend arms back. Do not tighten black knobs.

A useful trick is to give the awning a little more tilt on one side, so the rain runs off the side, not straight down the front, or, worse, collects in a poll in the middle.

Sorry about the brand awning, I didn't know. I figured it out and water cane pouring off. Which isn't good for it to just sit there. So extend them back out but don't tighten the black knobs? Why is that? An angle tilt is better than straight off the front?

Our awning is a manual one, and we always keep one side a little lower so the rain runs off. On ours it's always the rear side since the door is on the front, and won't open if that side is lower. Rain can pool up in the middle if it's level, and that's a lot of weight on it if it fails to auto dump.

So it retracts back in straight without possibility of binding.

I think what wiscampsin is saying is to tighten the black knobs after the proper tilt is achieved during the time you're camping, then loosen the black knobs before you retract the awning before leaving the campsite.

Yup. Sorry I wasn't more clear. Thanks for the clarification.
