I wish they would get here already. I really can't wait to get out in our home away from home for this upcoming Memorial Day outing.

So they are on their way. Ordered the 300 light $28.00 set.

Alright Crabman, you're in business.
I set up here in Albequerque, NM and noticed one of my green LED's is out. Luckily there is many colors to choose from :-)

Awning light
I ordered my light via Amazon April 04 and they arrived today. They were shipped direct from China from Lemonbest. I purchased the 300 LED waterproof set and they seem to work fine.
One confirming question. Can these lights be wired direct to the 12V circuits without the power supply. I noted the output from the power supply is 12V DC 6A so I assume so. Should I put a 6A fuse inline to protect the controller?

I've got mine on the 12-volt power supply for the refrigerator. I ran the power wire up the awning arms up over the roof. You only see less than 2" of wire at the top of the awning. If you don't specifically look for it, you won't notice. I then ran it probably 2' across the top of the roof and down the refrigerator roof vent. I covered the wire with Eternabond tape so that it isn't moving around or get caught on anything. Once the wire was down the refrigerator vent I fastened the control box with 2 sided tape to the side fridge vent. I then just left the IR receiver sticking out about 1/4". Makes it a little harder to take the vent cover off and on, but in reality, how often do you really do that? Once or twice a year to clean it maybe. I didn't add an extra fuse inline figuring the line was already protected by the fuse in the camper, but I might add one so that I can fuse it fairly low and hopefully should something happen it would blow before taking out the fuse to the fridge.

I got my light set out and played with them in the garage today. They look exactly like the ones in Drfifes pic, different name but I think these are all similar and could even be made by the same outfit in "Shenzen, Goyongang, China". Not sure if I got that spelling right but its close. So are most folks mounting them right next to the utility slot on the awning tube?
This is Drfifes set

I was going to install on the awning tube, however my awning is about 3 feet longer than the lights. I wanted to center them on the tube but was afraid of rolling up the end clips into the awning. I didn't think it would look right not centered, so I installed mine on the TT itself. Along the bottom edge of the gutter. That way I have them even when the awning is rolled up. !0 minutes after turning them on the first time at the CG, I had 2 people stop!

Did you use just the supplied sticky tape?

Yes, but since I tried to install by myself, I had to restart one side a couple of times. Plus the weight of the control box and power supply pulled that end off. I did as a friend did, did and put about a 1 foot pc clear shipping tape at each end. One thing to remember about my setup. My TT never leaves the campground. Just from storage to site.

Well my lights are no longer in China, they are in Columbus, Ohio with this caveat: Possible delay in delivery due to arrival at incorrect carrier facility - who the heck knows what that means. Estimated arrival date May 29th. It better not take 37 days to get go 50 miles.

Just got mine from Shenzhen today! Ordered from Amazon on 4/10, so not too shabby. They work good and I can't wait to get them on the camper this week before our first trip out this weekend. Can't wait to see the look on our camping buddies' faces when we turn these bad boys on, lol! Only issue I have is my green and blue controls are reversed on my remote. Not that big of a deals since I don't plan on changing colors very much, just have to remember green is blue and vice versa.

FYI, I contacted a US seller of similar lights and asked a question concerning adding additional length of lights to the 5 meter strip. He informed me that it would likely blow the power supply, as that most places give you a power supply that is just enough for the 5 meter length. You can purchase a larger power supply and then add more length to the 5 meters. Also be aware that the controller and power supply are not water proof.

Mine came today,:hihi: and it has a 12 volt adapter wire ready to wire into the trailer 12v supply. Nice little bonus i had not seen. Also 2 weeks earlier than the estimated arrival date.

Well even though my lights got lost and delayed, they managed to arrive to. I'm not unrolling this set until I install and even then just a few inches at a time and i will make Monica help me.

Got mine installed today! I tied into a spare fused wire on the back of the converter and fused it to 5A. The IR controller is mounted in the rear storage compartment. I will do a write-up in the mods section.
