On mine the tape came loose and the lights fell, due to the awning being soaking wet all the time when rolled up. Some of the LED`s are also not working now. I had concerns about this very thing in a much earlier post in this thread, and it has came to be. Mine are also labeled "waterproof" but that is optimistic at best. Last trip I just taped them temporary to the tube and used
it that way. I still think they are neat, but will not stand up to being in the wet awning very long.

Mine did the exact same thing. The next set will go on the under side of the gutter. I never realized that the awning stayed so wet all the time until I installed the lights... at least it is a cheap lesson!!

Congrats on the new trailer. Keep the lights dry!

Put mine up under the awning in June, one of the ends was too close to the awning so it have some resistance and started to come off, took some heavy duty packing tape and just covered a part of the lights with the tape and it has stayed there for 2 months

The RF controller works much better than the IR controller. Especially, since the IR controller didn't work at all for me. However, there are not as many functions so you don't have 1 million or so light combinations but there are a few. It also has the blinking function and a bright and dim function. Those are enough for me so I am finally satisfied with my LED light strip purchase...now if I can just keep it from falling off the awning roller tube

("now if I can just keep it from falling off the awning roller tube")

I didn't have any problem with mine, but we did on my sisters.
We had the tie wraps at each end.

They rolled in up in the awning on a good hot day. Been good for 6 weeks now.

I'll get some zip ties and see if that helps cuz I'm pretty "stoked" about showing these off to my electrcian buddy we go camping with later this month. If they fall off, I'll never hear the end of it. Thanks for the tip, Doug!

Sweet!! The RF remote sounds like the ticket to me!

That's odd about not sticking to the tube... Mine never came lose when mounted to the tube. But the did soak up a lot of moisture over the summer which pretty much ruined the lights though
