Awning water run off question

My new FW (awaiting delivery) has two awnings. My summer site has a wooden deck that both awnings will be over. I have always angled the non motor side down for water runoff. I will need to angle my front awning down on the motor side for water run off. Is the motor Assy sealed or am I gonna cause a problem if I do that.

Both the Dometic and Carefree have plastic housings covering the motors. Water may get in if it's running at it hard, and if leaving for extended periods of time I might cover with somthing like a cut away milk jug or detergent bottle to add another layer of protection. Can't hurt.

Thanks for the suggestion I will probably call and see what there tech dept says. My current RV the awning instruction just says to ensure a tilt for water run off but does not say which way. I just always left the motor side high
