Backup Camera No Power

New here ... I have a Haloview backup camera on a Jayco Jayflight that was working for about 6 months. Now the camera does not send a signal to the monitor screen. I have hooked the unit up on another vehicle (my wife's car) and can get everything to work fine. It works fine in the tow vehicle when I use the pairing cable too. I am guessing that there is a 'power' issue at the back of the unit. It is wired into the centre running light. A voltmeter shows power but doesn't turn on the camera. Is there another 12 volt power source that I can tap into or does anyone have a solution to this non working camera mystery? Thanks

I just installed a HaloView camera. When I pulled the mess of wires behind the center clearance light, I found a black wire that turned out to be a constant hot. I found out (by accidentally touching the wire to the siding while soldering it) that it was a dedicated auxiliary lighting circuit.. I assume it’s supposed to be for a security camera power feed.

You can use the backup lights power source...hot only when in transmission is in reverse.

I did find a purple wire in with the driving light wires but it does not appear to have any power to it. Any thoughts on where that might go and/or can I get power to it?

I have thought of that, but how do I get access to that power source? Is there an easy way to remove the brake/backup light assembly? And if I did find that as a good source, how to feed that up to the camera location? I wish this thing just worked the way it was supposed to!!!!!!
