Mine's crooked. Opens, closes and latches fine. I just don't look at it too closely.

I think that with the quick mass production of these trailers, the sections are slapped into place with no consideration of quality. If a floor is not quite level, it will throw the alignment of the walls and doors off kilter. I'm not complaining at all, and for my $17K "home", even if crooked in places, it was a bargain.

Denise, you could either get it fixed using your warranty (and who knows how long it would take or what the end result would be), or just find a good, local carpenter to get the door aligned. And who knows. Maybe over time, the wood will dry out, the trailer will shake a bit, and the door will come into alignment on its own.

These threads have me nervous. This thread and the slide problem ones... My current camper has been perfect. Everything fits and works fine. Our new one is supposed to be built this week. Praying it is as good as our current camper.

It is easy to do. Just take your time. The 1/4 x 1/4 foam rubber has like a sticky tape on one side. Remove the protective covering slowly as you go down or up the door jamb placing the foam rubber into position.
Below is what it looks like except this photo is a different measurement than 1/4 x 1/4.

Funny that I found this thread today. One of my projects this week is to adjust the striker plate on my bathroom door. The door looked out of plumb during the PDI, but it was only the trim, and was fixed on the spot. What we have found out is that the trailer must be EXACTLY level, and not racked at all for the door to latch easily. Wear marks on the striker show that it is slightly high on the frame. Hoping that filing the hole downward some will fix it, and not have to reset the striker in the frame.

I agree good DIY skill sets are a must when owning a TT. pay attention to detail and take it slow.Ask for help when in doubt.

The first thing I'd do is put a straightedge on both the door and the frame. It might be the picture but that doorframe looks like the trim has a bow in it to me.
