The newer fans have a separate switch to pull air in or exhaust air out.

same fan, same thing.

I have the same fan, and agree with others.. first it is junk, second even when correctly set to exhaust can not determine for sure that any air is moving.. just swirling around I think. I tried holding a small lighter in areas around it and the flame never bends at all. I purchased a replacement fan.. but found out no replacement fans have a collar that will fit either, so sent that back. Next time I see someone smoking outside their rig I'm going to invite them in to see if it can even suck out smoke. Anxious to hear if anyone has found any fix, or suitable replacement .
