Bathroom Sink Caulk

I have a 2015 Jayco Jayflight 23RB. There's a bead of caulk where the bathroom sink meets the counter top. Does anyone else find this caulk particularly soft and pliable? I can't shave without whiskers getting stuck to it, and if it gets warm in the bathroom I can't even touch it without some of it rubbing off on my hands. It is annoying.

Next question is, what caulk (or silicone I suppose) would you recommend that I would use instead?

Jayco, if you're reading this...ditch your caulk supplier. You might have saved a few pennies, but in the process you might be creating unnecessary customer dissatisfaction, which costs far more.

Although I don't really know what caulking Jayco used on your trailer, I'd like to float an idea. In my trailer, Jayco set the kitchen and bathroom sinks into a putty like material. Over time, that putty material squeezes out. If this is the case with your sink, you might consider using a plastic scraper - which you could get in the paint department at a home store - and scrape off the excess putty.

I did this for our kitchen sink, and then caulked around it with a white silicone caulk. The silicone would probably keep the putty under control, and would end the stickiness.

On my fiver, Jayco used putty between the sinks and countertops. I've found that they use this just about every place where two surfaces meet. I scraped ours off and put silicon around the outside edge. BTW, what are you doing shaving while camping?
