bathroom skylight
I have what appears to be construction debris (or worse yet ~ mouse droppings) that has appeared between my opaque colored skylight and the exterior dome for the bathroom fixture. All I can see is dark shadows that i would like to clean. Is this interior piece held into place by the four corner screws? Or, am I opening up a can of worms and should have caulking ready? Hopefully someone else has already removed this piece...

I had a Holiday Rambler Savoy with the same issue. It was easily remedied from the inside by just dropping the inside section of the skylite, no caulking involved.

Yep, same here...., after rebuilding my roof a few years ago I had sawdust showing up in my bath skylight on a couple different occasions, dropped the inside plastic cover each time to clean out, simple fix as others have stated.

Same here on our Eagle. I had DW hold the skylight so it wouldn't bend and crack while removed the screws.

Dropped it no problem. Lots of saw dust and little foam beads (plus, some dreaded mouse droppings). I also noticed some channels cut-out in the roof material. When I turned the exhaust on I could feel air rushing from them. Also discovered moisture / condensation between the two skylights. A little musty, but, a quick spray down and a good dry out and I'm fine. Just need to think of a way to mitigate this condensation. I'm think about placing an additional peice of lexan over the outside (shower side). Maybe this extra barrier will help lessen the heat exchange???

Yeah, and you if you use poison they may die where you don`t want them to. In my parents house a long time ago one died in the ceiling after we put out D-con. The smell was awful, but not as bad as the brown stain that leaked through the white ceiling panel from the body fluids. Yummy.

Been there... Done that! No poison for me - my dog nibbled on some before; not a pretty scene.

Yeah, and do NOT fall asleep on your back with your mouth open if you have mice in the roof.

My skylight in another brand trailer was leaking and would allow the water to get in between the roof and ceiling. Needed to take the outer one off and reinstall with new sealant. If you are getting moisture check your roof...

Wow, I didn't know the bottom would come off. I always assumed it was like a dual pane window.

Will do. I have left the inner trim piece off and sprayed things down. no obvious signs yet... fingers crossed!

What you were seeing was probably just "sawdust" from a dull saw.. or one pushed to fast when cutting... mine has that in the tween part too.
