Battery challenge < charging >

OK I'm looking to charge the exterior battery for the camper from point A to B,
This is a Jayco pop up 1999 , I was thinking on using a Battery isolator but Im not sure if its going to screw with the electrical in my truck, It shouldn't but,I saw it is not recommended and will put more strain on my alternator.
Any one one has any recommendations tricks or knowledge please key in ...

Add a solar charger and then it will also remain charged at point B.

Welcome to JOF.

Thanks JOF for the response. I was hopping to keep it inexpensive, hence the isolator, I did start with the thought of solar, maybe a revisit is in order.

I was looking at one of similar construction and voltage at Harbor Freight. How well has yours held up?
