Be Careful!

This happened today on RT 51 in western Pennsylvania. No details yet as it was posted on Facebook by our local news station but they were on their way to another story so they didn't get any details (hopefully they will follow up). As you can see the TT is a Jayco. It looks like the TT saved their lives as it prevented the box truck from reaching the SUV. Just a reminder to be careful out there!!

Wow, I would say inattentive driving of the truck driver.

There is absolutely nothing to save, except maybe the SUV.

Time to get clean shorts, and buy a lottery ticket.

Looks like that truck is totally sitting on the TT frame, if you look close you can see the TT tires just in front of the rear truck tires, that had to be one heck of an impact, hope all are ok.

So sad. Hope they are ok.

Is it just me, or does it look like the TT was made out of cardboard?

They're all made that way - that's why no on rides in the trailer.

Be Careful!

Wonder if they'll total it? I'm kidding but seriously glad the SUV looks like everyone inside should be fine. Truck driver definitely was not paying attention.... Scary to see how close they were to a much worse situation.

Good thing they were pulling a trailer. I was part of a similar accident in Pensacola a few years back. Same size truck never stopped for a red light on a 55mph road. Ran over and used a Honda Element as battling ram to smash through the other vehicles waiting at the light. No good for to those in the Honda.

The only follow up I have heard is that the driver of the SUV went to the hospital with chest pains (can you blame him?) but that his passenger was fine. No word on the driver of the truck or how it happened.
