Bent awning arm

Does anyone know where I can get just the arm that that shock attaches too,
RV dealer wants to sell the whole assembly for 700.00 dollars.
For a 2022 Jayco Eagle,321RSTS
Not sure if the picture is going to attach.

If it is a furrion part, you can try reaching out to them. They do sell parts directly, just not sure if they sell that part alone or not.

Our awning is a Solera. One of the arms is starting to bend; it is slightly bowed. I noticed it last week. Due to the diminished quality of materials, RV awnings have become pointless. Even worse, they are a hazard. They are very poorly constructed. I watch with trepidation every time we use ours. We use it less and less.

On our last unit, the awning roll just disconnected itself from the motor. It came crashing down and nearly hit me in the head. It was 2 years old, but it was basically brand new because we almost never used it. There was no wind. It was never used in the wind. I do not open them if there is the slightest hint of wind. Jayco said it was Carefree's problem. Carefree said the warranty was expired. We had used it a handful of times. The "pot metal" roll ends and the tiny "foil" screws were the culprits. I had some old screws and washers that were at least 12-15 years old; you know, the kind that actually had some steel in them! I put it back together with them, and we used it maybe 2-3 times after that.

This is one of many reasons why I routinely go through the entire unit to check every screw and fastener that I can access.

To me awnings are a great idea, but anymore, they are built to fail. Frankly, I view them as a hazard. It sad to say, but it's true.

I helped my neighbor replace a damaged arm and I was able to find new parts on eBay.

You might check a rv junk yard. There are several around the country that buy up totaled trailers and part them out just like cars.
Just google rv junk yard near me.

Awning Arm

Hey Red Dog, would like a followup on how you solve your problem. I have a 2020 Eagle HT 27.5 and might just have this problem down the road.
