Best 13” tires

Our 2013 X 20E has C rated tires and its time to change them. The Goodyear Endurance’s are not made in 13’s can anyone suggest or recommend a good 13” D rated trailer tire. I would love to upgrade to 14” but haven’t found a deal on rims.

Spend the money on 14" wheels and tires. You will thank yourself in the years ahead.

I don't think there is a D rated 13" ST tire. I wanted Maxiss but due to out of stock issues back in spring from every reputable dealer, I ended up with the same Powerking Towmax tires that came with the trailer.

Keep in mind that even if you go to a D rating or a 14", you are still limited by the axle rating. Personally I have never seen an advantage to a higher rated or larger tire. I've had two trailers with 13" tires over 17 years.

Advantage to overeating is piece of mind. Hopefully you take overweight issues out of the equation. To often the tires are minimal rating for the unit involved.
If you have the clearance for 14", bite the bullet.

X2. I just bought two new 14" rims and Endurance tires to replace my old 13" and I'm very happy. The rims were $50 each on Amazon. Not only is it good piece of mind but my trailer seems to tow better.

Also, if you ever need a tire while you're on the road, good luck trying to find a 13".

I installed Carlisle 13" load range D's on my HTT. I have been extremely happy with them. Trailer pulls very nicely, I am seeing less tire wear. The tires were extremely well balanced when initially placed on the rims. Not sure why, but these tires do not leak air like my OEM tires did. I did have metal valve steams installed.

Discount Tire informed me of them, as I did not see them on Carlisle's website as they were still very new to the market.

Not running over weight

Thanks for the replies I’m not running overweight just want to safely run at 70 when I need to to get away from / keep up with traffic on the Interstate.
I am leaning towards getting the 14s.

Don't lean, fall......!! Just do it, you won't look back, and basically one less one thing to worry about. Steel valve stems and balanced are a must.

most China bombs are rated 65mph max, and that is when they are brand new, properly inflated and everything is perfect. Goodyear Endurance 87 mph
I swapped mine out ASAP. I don't drive fast towing but there are traffic situations where driving slower is dangerous.
If you can't go 14 inch I had some Kenda tires that lasted on my last popup but they are rated 65.

You might Google these or just go take a look on Heartland RV's Web site, and search that tire. It is the leader of "China Bombs".

I am with upping to 14s. Too many Rs and 65mph with 13s. A blowout waiting to happen.
