Thanks Bassdogs.. The Alante is just about one year old. We're 23/33 days into a cross country trip and have been using the stove, broiler and running the fridge on propane throughout. We had used the furnace for a couple of days before the morning it cut out. On that morning it started right up, blew warm air for about 5 minutes, then cut out.

The AC is controlled by the same thermostat and that doesn't work either while the one in the bedroom operates fine.

That rules out air in the line then. If neither ac or heat work its probably what others have suggested, the Tstat. There s/b a hot 12v wire feeding into the tstat. One will be a ground. Check to see if the tstat even has power to it.
Does the fan run when you put the tstate into the fan only position?

Hey Bassdogs and all the members who have given their advice, a huge thank you. This is what we've done. Once we arrived this afternoon,we found a Kmart and purchased a small porcelain heater to use in the morning. I believe we all agree it's an electrical problem, probably best addressed by the dealer when we get home in a week. Thanks again, Joe..

Probably for the best. Find a way to continue your journey and enjoy the trip. I have fallen victim to endless troubleshooting on various items that have cost me the remaining enjoyment of the trip, not to mention it leaves my wife looking after the kids all day while I try to figure it out and fix it. Sometimes it's best to go to plan B, limp it home, and enjoy the time you have!
