Black tank flush
Here is a little warning. Don't turn on your tank flusher and then get sidetracked. Very messy and smelly. Not only does it flood the bathroom but it also floods the bins under it and the belly pan under the tanks. Other than that it was a good trip.

Easy to get distracted, especially at a site w/camping. Hope the clean-up is successful.
I'll be posting about a brown water close-encounter of my own this weekend.

Yep, I did the same Darn thing in Texas. We were Lucky as we super flushed at the last Campground. Were I screwed up I left the flush valve open when I turned on the water. Marti was sick but, the water was some what clean. We used a lot of towels too. We were OK smell wise.

When I flush out I always leave the dump value OPEN. Of course I'm hooked up to the CG sewer connection. And I have been distracted at times, but not to worry cause it's all going down the drain.

Ya I was hooked to CG sewer when it hapened. The problem was that this was the maiden voyage and the tank valves are labbeled wrong. The tag that says black water is a grey water. I think I'm going to the dealer to have them clean the mess on jayco. I had the gate that said black open.

YES! I'm pretty sure Carlos Santana could build some nice guitar rifts around a song titled... Black Tank Flush

Mine has leaked, twice! First trip out, I saw all this black water running out from under the belly on my new Eagle. Took it in and they found that the leak was from the rinser port. It worked fine for about 10 months. Then when we were in WY at Yellowstone, we noticed a 'smell'. I thought it was from full hookups and/or venting etc. But turns out it was the rinser port leaking AGAIN. Hopefully it is fixed and won't be a problem anymore. FYI it was leaking with no hose hooked up, it was just running out the port from the inside. And since we have the underbelly, you don't know it's leaking right away.

I plan on, at sometime this summer or fall, to remove the bottom covers and give a look see. Of course my unit is 8-9 yrs old, so I'm sure I'm not voiding any warranty. I'm curious as to the lay-out under there. I may see something that needs attention.

I went to my Jayco dealer todoy and complained about the tanks being labellad wrong. They are going to remove and replace all the fabric in the bin's, remove and replace the insulasion and belly pan on the underside on the 5er no trouble. You gotta love people that stand behind there product. Glad I bought a Jayco.

Are the underbelly panels user removeable ??? It appears that they are. They have multiple screws holding them in place.
No telling what I may find, but its impossible to assume till ya look.

Yep they are... the dealer has already had mine dropped twice.. and the unit is only 4 months old.. no one can figure out why I cannot get heat in the kitchen living room. Bedroom is like a sauna K&LR freeze. I have blocked off all the other room vents and still little heat to those rooms.

I'm planning an extended weekend coming up and may remove an enclosure panel or two just out of curiosity.
Hope things will appear to be in order.

Sean 45,
We have had a similar problem with our 2008 and 2010 RLSs--bedroom too hot when door is closed compared with bathroom and living room/kitchen. We now leave the bedroom door open, the bathroom door open and the door between the living/kitchen and the shower/sink area open half way (to block out light from the living/kitchen area. However, when our grandsons are sleeping in the living room we have to give them extra blankets.
In another thread on this forum another owner had his unit in for repairs and the dealership found that the duct work from his furnace as too small, resulting in the furnace cycling on and off too quickly. The dealership installed larger ducts at no cost to the owner. Perhaps you can ask your dealer to evaluate your ducts and determine whether Jayco will approve installation of larger ones as warranty costs if the dealer determines the ducts are too small. I will see if I can find the other thread and repost it on this thread for you.
