Black water overflow???

Hi! We bought our 2010 jay flight 19bh a couple of months ago, and are in the middle of our first big trip. We are using the scott brand tp (admittedly not sparingly) and I have been dumping our black tank regularly at each full hookup campsite along the way. several overnights to our destination and then a weeklong, and now we are back to the overnights on the way home.
I had noticed a little tp buildup while at the weeklong, and sort of snaked the toilet with a rubber hose (not connected to outside water) from inside the toilet. Thought that helped. Here we are a couple days later, and after dumping a couple more times and I think there is a problem. Sensor says only 1-2 lights, but when I just went #1 it sounded like there was drainage going on underneath me.
I cannot find any leakage anywhere, looked under trailer, storage compartment, etc.
Snaked the toilet again same way and don't see any excess, but how can I be sure all tp is exiting the tank (especially since tank is white based bottom and tp is white?)? And how do I find out what that drainage sound was from??
I have read about roof vent overflow, but this sound came from below me, not the roof. Really afraid of discovering the overflow somewhere else nasty.
Nothing in the manuals discusses what happens with black tank overflow!

If the Black tank fills up, the only place it can go in back up in the toilet or up the vent pipe. It is pretty common for paper in the tank to give false readings. As long as you flush the tank out and let it all run out when dumping you should not worry.
BTW, make sure you add a few gallons of water to the black tank while after dumping to let it slosh around on the road.

That black tank is directly under the toilet so it goes straight into it - I dont think there is really anywhere for it to go. Do you have an open underbelly (ie - can you see your tanks underneath) ? If so and you see no liquid, I think you are fine.

If you take a flashlight and look into the toilet when you flush you can see the water level and are basically looking into the tank. That water can actually fill all the way up into the toilet - even into the bowl - and it should not overflow anywhere. Where you hear about vent pipe overflow is when people use a flush system and force water into the black tank from locations other than the toilet.

Sounds like you are not using enough water. Make sure you are using plenty of water when you flush the TP. A lot of folks just hit the flush just long enough for it to disappear, but you need to be adding water too so there is plenty for it to mix with and break up. Also - nothing wrong with a double flush in between stages to help avoid jams.

Also - are you waiting until the tank is full before emptying? When I dump, I go so far as to fill my blank tank up all the way and then dump.
