Black water tank

Planning our camping trips for the year.

My trailer has a 26 gallon fresh water tank, a 9 gallon black, 16 gray.

This trailer is new to us and picking it up at the end of march.

We are traveling with two young kids (2 and 3) and what would the minimum amount of water and wich tanks to fill if we want to stop for the occasional rest room stop before arriving ?

thanks guys.
Pat

Suggest 1/3 tank but you didn't say how far you were going so it's a WAG.

1/3 full of fresh and black? each?

1st trip will be about 80km, other 180, and other 300km give or take.

It's wag? what is that? hehe

You don't really want to put any water in the black tank, other than the chemical to help with the waste and some water to get it working. Stuff will get into the black tank when nature calls. "wag" is a "wild a$$ guess", could also be "swag" "silly wild a$$ guess".

jal0710 is on the money. You only want a small amount of black water... just enough for your chemicals to work. The fresh water is what you have to try and guesstimate. ~ 8.5 gals should give you plenty of flushes for the little ones.

Sounds good ! I'll add a little of water in the bottom of the black and
8-8.5 gallons of fresh.

thanks

I was basing that on your 26 gallon tank... so about 1/3. You could probably just fill until the meter says the fresh is at 1/3.
