$2.21 gal here in New Hampshire. Better than it was but certainly not cheap.

$2.23/gallon for 87 octane... $2.29/gallon for diesel at my local cash only station. I like the cheaper fuel costs, but I have noticed more competition for sites at my favorite parks. I guess everything is a trade off...

Who believes gas will remain at the current prices for an "extended" period, such as a year or longer??? Regular is $1.91 for 87, diesel is $2.45+/-

Answer: The Refineries !

They finally figured out that they can control gas/fuel pricing of the market....

It will go back up, no doubt. Enjoy it while you can.

On a side note, average price for gasoline in the Seattle area is $2.83.9. with Safeway points, I filled the Sport Trac for $141.9 per gallon!

I think it's more people retiring, more people with more money so they can afford an RV. And, the RV's are getting bigger and bigger. Many more Class A's now then ever before. Much more competition for large sites, which, at older campgrounds is a problem. Campgrounds are not being built quick enough for the additional RV's on the road.

The cost and red tape to put in a campground is enormous, no longer affordable for the typical small business to start. Your looking at well over a million to even open a small campground today. And if your a city the costs are more, if not in a city the costs for water and sewer is huge, IF you can get the required permits.

Not sure where the industry will be in the future, but it will be controlled by larger corporations, with deep pockets...and... will cost all of us more.

Gotta tell you... I am loving the prices of fuel State Side. We are at $1.10/L up here which translates to about $4.20/gallon. Even with the 30% hit we are taking on the dollar right now you guys are crushing us on the petrol price.

It is a sad statement that my family went to Myrtle Beach this year instead of our own East Coast, in part, because I could not stomach the price of fuel up here. I filled up 65 Gallons between the RV and Toad at $1.87 in SC... Insanely good from a Canucks perspective.

$1.899 For regular in Northern New Jersey. $2.499 for ULS.

That is too cheap. Compared to $0.35-$0.40 per gallon before the first energy crisis. Do the inflation math. Autofuels are less valuable now than in 1971.

That's hard to predict. Even the "experts" could not have predicted the glut of oil and gas on the current market. So long as fracking is occurring, and OPEC continues their internal bickering, prices will remain low. A recent partial refinery shutdown in Indiana caused a sharp rise in prices in the central states, but the market simply could not sustain it and in only 2 weeks prices dropped back down. Last prediction I heard was that prices in WI will drop to $2.00 by year end. We are at at $2.35 right now. I paid $1.95 in Corbin, KY 2 weeks ago. We picked a great time to tow our trailer to Gatlinburg!
